E.J. Antonio III


E.J. Antonio III is a Managing Partner and Co-Founder of AFI. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Norwich Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and NPAV Holdings, Inc. Mr. Antonio has over 22 years of experiencing in operating, advising and investing in industrial businesses. Prior to co-founding AFI, Mr. Antonio was at Perry Capital where he co-managed the private equity strategy for the firm focusing on middle-market industrial special situations. While at Perry Capital, Mr. Antonio served on the boards of North American Energy Partners, Inc., Republic Engineered Products, Inc. and Simonds International, Inc. From 1998 to 2002, Mr. Antonio worked in Deutsche Bank's Corporate Finance and Mergers, Acquisitions and Corporate Advisory Group where he led transaction teams advising clients in the middle market industrial sector. Prior to his employment at Deutsche Bank, Mr. Antonio spent 13 years with General Motors Corp. and Delphi Corp. in various senior operating management and business development capacities in the U.S. and Europe, turning around tradition/legacy operations as well as acquiring and starting new component operations. In 1997, Mr. Antonio received the President's Council Award from Jack Smith, GM Chairman, for completing GM's first acquisition in Central/Eastern Europe and increasing the revenue of one of Delphi's European business units. Mr. Antonio earned his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research cum laude from Syracuse University, a Master of Science in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Pennsylvania State University and his Master of Business Administration from the Harvard Business School. Mr. Antonio is an active fundraiser for Poly Prep Country Day School and HandsOnUSA, Hurricane Katrina Volunteer Relief Organization.
